Survey: Students Are Ashamed Of Being American After College Education

Liberals will generally deny that 'higher education' schools are simply paid indoctrination camps. But, this survey provides some valuable insight.

College students are cultivating an increasingly pessimistic view of the United States and their futures as their national pride deteriorates in university classrooms across the nation, a newly published American College Student Freedom, Progress and Flourishing Survey confirms.

More than half of self-identified liberal students say they have developed a more negative view of the United States as a result of their higher education curriculum, while nearly one-third of students who identified as conservative shared their growing pessimism about America, according to the annual college student survey.

Political ideology significantly impacts students’ national pride.

While 52 percent of students say they are proud to be American, most of the patriotic students are conservative.

“A majority of conservative students (86 percent) are proud to be American compared to 38 percent of those who identify as liberal students and 59 percent of self-identified independents,” the survey notes.

Conservative students are significantly less inclined to accept the paradigm about American presented in the classroom. Eighty-one percent of liberal students say “college is giving them a more accurate picture of the U.S.” while “only 44 percent of conservative students” trust what they are being told about America.

-starts out in life with a healthy body and mind and supportive parents
-takes out $100,000 in loans to ‘study’ art because they actually don’t like studying but want the status of having a degree
-can’t get a job because most jobs require you actually know something
-makes no attempt to monetise what they do know, outside of faking it on social media
- ‘god I hate capitalism. I should be able to just have all my needs paid for like I did when I lived with mummy and daddy’

@pianoplayingsteve The only person I personally knew in college who took out excessive loans was someone who was brilliant enough to make the grade and go on to get a doctorate and position as a professor at a university. She did live with mom and dad for years after graduation. I don't blame her for that either, as the cost of living was getting out of sight in her region. In my generation, it was not a disgrace for a single woman of any age to live with parents or other family.

@SW-User yeah housing prices are ridiculous. Everything is taxed every single step of the way, and the money used is based on debt. Seems almost intentionally designed to collapse

@pianoplayingsteve One of my friend's problems is that she was born in a beautiful area which became a resort for the excessively wealthy (read tourist trap). So when she went back home after college, she found that people of our generation were being pushed out of her home region due to the rising demand for luxury condos and exclusive mansions for celebrities. She was born and raised liberal and went to a moderate college. I hope she retains her liberalism, because it keeps her bucking the system which needs to be challenged.
