1866 was a lot longer than 72 hours ago

I think national voting day should be a holiday too. But to say creating this holiday was fast isn’t all that accurate

@JoeyFoxx its so perfect to describe the democrats party... only talk and virtue signaling but they dont care about fixing the actual problems at all. noone needs that kind of party and if republicans hadnt drifted into some comically evil kind of party noone would ever vote for them.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Milkshake so are you going to complain or contribute to a solution?
Milkshake · F
@JoeyFoxx pointing out problems is the first step to a solution.. admitting that there is something wrong
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Milkshake pointing out easy problems is lazy. Arguing about it is disingenuous.

Misstating the realities of acknowledging the end of slavery is inexcusable

@JoeyFoxx not like that slavery ever ended... there is more slaves in the world now then 150 years ago... including the usa. we just dont call it as openly anymore
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Milkshake what does that have to do with your original post? You seem to be a typical weak-minded social justice warrior who likes to make broad statements without actually knowing the details.

Legal ownership of a human being isn't possible anywhere today. The "theft" of a person cannot be prosecuted. There are no legal markets for humans.

The Global Slavery Index counts people against a vague term of "modern slavery", a term that has no universal meaning. Regardless, modern slavery is nothing compared to the government supported slavery from years ago. It's not the same. Trying to equate the two is disingenuous. To say there are more slaves today than 150 years ago diminishes the plight of those who were owned who literally had no legal recourse.

Is human trafficking acceptable? Of course not. But it's not the same as historical slavery.

Do yourself a favor. Try to pick a cause and stick to it.

@JoeyFoxx mana arabian and african countries have absolutely legal slavery today. and by all means forcing prisoners to work is absolutely slavery. and you seem to really like your buzz words like SJW. sounds like someone needs to take a peak outside their echo chamber but you propably to scared to do that.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Milkshake The historical notion of owning a human isn't legal anywhere in the world. Period.

Mayhaps you should listen to your own echo chamber.

@JoeyFoxx https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_the_21st_century

feeling stupid now ?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Milkshake Did you actually read it? The very first sentence uses the terms "modern slavery" and "neo-slavery"

Juneteenth has NOTHING to do with neo-slavery.

I'm done here. Your outrage is only outpaced by your ignorance.

Hopefully someone else will read this and get informed. I have lost hope for you.

@JoeyFoxx good, glad that shut you up
