Regardless of this persons political associations, it seems kind of mean that people are laughing at his suffering. I’m astounded at the nastiness.

@LilithoftheTrees Narcissists.. you can't really argue any opposing issues though, it's like talking to a brick wall. You'll just get minimization, mocking or insults.

I do believe it's an aspect of narcissistic supply, or the equivalent of that South Park episode where everyone loved the smell of their own fart because it feels good when they feel bad about their own life 😂
@SatanBurger yeah I’m not even looking it from a political point. I’m looking at it from a humanitarian point. It’s shameful.

@LilithoftheTrees Yeah same here.

@LilithoftheTrees I agree with you. Unfortunately, I’ve had people on the left who have gone as far as mocking my disability. To many it’s a position where you are given a free pass to act like a monster, if you want to bully someone because of your own issues, pretend the other person is an ist or a phobe so they deserve all the abuse. I’ve seen it first hand. But of course the slightest thing that happens to them and it’s the end of the world.
@pianoplayingsteve I’m very sorry about that. I’m not on the left or right, I’m not even American, I just find it shocking that people would mock and scorn someone like this example above because they have a different political leaning. Where are people’s humanity? Shame on them. It’s disgusting.

@LilithoftheTrees I’m not American, either. Nor do I identify with any side as I see arguments for both sides. However, many who treat the left wing and socialism like their religion here then support the left in America. They treat their socialism like religion, they really do. And whenever I ask them how to solve so and so issue with socialism, they don’t have an answer. They want to feel somehow virtuous in very literally not wanting to bother to learn how to do things. They were used to everything being handed to them as kids with a side job to spend on consumer goods that as an adult they think the government should provide all those things their parents did, for ‘free’ and frivolously spend the little they do have after tax. The left could take the most stupid idea and say we need to do it through socialism and many would mindlessly obey and call any disagreement a far right conspiracy theory
@pianoplayingsteve I hear what you’re saying. You know how many times I’ve been called names on both sides for just trying to see things from various perspectives. It’s such a polarized society it seems. Yeah anyone who treats their political associations as religion has cut themselves off to an open and progressive debate that some kind of a resolution can be found. Here, our public hospitals have become so bad, that some have closed, many don’t have staff, people wait for hours, the ambulances don’t have petrol etc etc. it’s very sad really. That was socialist. If you do not have private medical care you’re buggered. The irony is that private medical care is dreadfully expensive and costs an arm and a leg. Now there is talk of government enforcing socialism in hospitals for everyone, of course that’s a wonderful ideology that I agree with in principle. Sadly however we all know that the funds will be mismanaged and misappropriated. Anyway what do I know…I’m just calling it as I see it. Thanks.
