Read an article last night.

I read an article in my news feed on my phone last night on way home from work. I lost it as didn't think save it or is put link. But basically one of Capitol rioters is claiming she can't be charged for breaking into the Capitol building because she looked up the hours online and they where open.

I'm sorry but since when have government buildings posted acceptable hours of insurrection.

that last statement by steelhands is only true in the instance where a person is peacefully entering a business through acceptable entrances designated by the business owner ,as well as staying within the areas designated for customer use. if that person decides to go to other areas of that business and forcibly break into locked offices or rooms and take or destroy things , then it doesnt matter if they took these illegal actions during "open business hours". the actions taken are still illegal and subject to full prosecution , as it should be. or as one other person here pointed out for the " cult of trump " followers,,, " stupid is as stupid does " .

@fireandice69 You wanna be a lawyer? Well gotta tell ya. Lots of people have those degrees and are really not lawyers but just sacks of garbage.

Any good lawyer can tell ya that if you are inside a business when someone else is comitting an actionable crime it doesn't automatically implicate anyone else the people working for the business feel like accusing.

And one more item to bear in mind. This goes especially true when it's the fucking owner of the business. You. Don't. Tell.OWNERS. Where they can go and what they can see or say.

Get it now? communist?

@SteelHands such an eloquent rebuttal in the typical " good ole boy " arrogant trump fashion just proves another point. my wife had a saying which obviously fits here " i take insults as compliments when uttered from the mouths of ignorance "
