Billionaires are not left wing by definition, but why can't some billionaires be left wing?

Progressive politics are not determined by income levels. If they are, then every conservative caricature would be true. There's probably no reason why we anyone should be a Billionaire, but our tax laws make it possible.

Some even argue that their foundations are a better hedge against Trump-like administrations or bad government policies.

@Northwest very unwise to depend on extravagantly wealthy people to provide any sort of social safety net. Even in the absence of one. Besides billionaires are the reason trump won in the first place. The guy himself is a billionaire. There may be some rich people that didn’t like trump for being crude but even ones like Bloomberg preferred him over someone like say bernie sanders.

They’re all in the club and they’ll never actually go against eachother

I am not sure how you arrived at this conclusion. He got help from a handful of Billionaires who support Israel, but the Evangelicals represent the single largest block that put Trump in the White House. A close second is racists.
