Is it because of the lawsuits against him for igniting an insurrection? Still propagating his biggest lie. Or maybe because he didn't accrue many followers. So vanity?

For whatever reason the blog was so short-lived, the relatively low 'ratings' had to be hard on the poor fellow. It definitely was not the "most trafficed blog ever, probably in the history of the world." SAD.
