And so did the Republican refusal to look at the causes of the mob seeking to overthrow the US government to install the loser of the election in the White House, against the will of the people. Republicans definitely showed they will do anything at all to make it happen. Sad that you accept that. Were you part of the terrorist mob at the Capitol?

@windinhishair There ARE ongoing investigations of the Jan.6 events. The "commission" is merely a showboating political effort.
I'm referring to calls to pack the Supreme Court, make D.C. a state, corrode election integrity and similar aspirations.

@LamontCranston No, the commission is a necessary investigation to get to the truth, and it is important that it be bipartisan. But the Republicans are petrified the truth will come out about their involvement in the insurrection. So it won't happen.

I'm against increasing the number of justices permanently, but a temporary increase of two is needed to make up for the McConnell stolen seat under Obama's Administration. They should increase the Court by two, with the provision that the next two vacancies will not be made up. This approach has been used before.

There is no evidence of voter fraud or corrosion of election integrity. That's just false. Voter suppression is the clear objective and is obviously a threat to democracy.

I thing DC should be a state, but it isn't something I lose sleep over.
