Here is my conflict.. At the 2020 election 74,222,958 votes were cast for Donald Trump (at least) More if you believe the many conspiracy theories. But lets skip over those. I will concede that over 74 Million is a huge number. And this was after American voters experiencing a Trump administration for Four Years.
To me that means that in spite of not winning by the numbers, he still has that much support. If I were Abraham out of the old Tastament I would think twice before standing up for America if God showed up and decided to stage Sodom and Gommorah, " Strike Two..the return" there. Sacrificing the rest of America to rid the world of that much hatred, ignorance and just plain stupid seems like a fair deal..

Loathe it or love it, a Presidential win is a Presidential win. Life goes on and so does everyone else.
If we all spent our lives being bitter and resentful of the outcome of events that didn’t go in our favour we would never move forward. Life is about moving forward.

[@justanothername ] Of course you are correct, internally. My question is more an external view. In terms of Covid, when an infection (pardon the conparison, but its relevant) takes hold and you dont have a vaccine, lock the whole place down and quarantine it, seperating the unifected areas and keeping them Virus free. In my view, in spite of his loss at the polls. America is still clearing infected with Trumps Disease. Should the rest of the world throw it under a bus? Or can it be salvaged?

@whowasthatmaskedman No one is throwing America under any bus. Every other country is going through or trying to go through the same re opening process that you guys are endeavoring to do. We are all in the same boat. Some countries have managed to stay relatively Covid free more than others but we are all in the same boat. We all want life back to what ever normal looks like, when ever that is.

@justanothername That was a comparison. In my view the political climate and paralysis is a disease of the nation.

History disproved this theory. Look at the number of bad leaders who got the world into wars and other disasters. Sometime life does not simply go on, and it's not about resentment.

@whowasthatmaskedman it’s the current political climate which is being unnecessary instigated by one person.

That may be, but it's not what my comment was about.

@Northwest So are you saying that Republicans are going to get all pissy and throw their toys out of the cot because they can’t accept that the election didn’t go their way?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@justanothername Yeah.........No.... Certainly he is the figurehead. But a lot of people have tied themselves to the mast with him..and like I said, 74 million voted after seeing what was in the box. That is rather damning.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@justanothername Danger Will Robinson! Move on from the Politics and stick to the morality of the question. Does the Trump @r$ehole factor deserve the whole nation being left in the cesspit to drown?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman The thing that I find most ironic is that during the run up to the election Biden said very little. He didn’t make any memorable speeches, he just make lots of public appearances which is part of the job. Trump on the other hand was all about big speeches that got everyone riled up. Trump spent the whole campaign antagonizing, annoying, angering and bullying Democrats with his words.

And now Republicans are crying foul!?

Guys if you are going to have a big party in your back yard and do burn outs in the street outside your 80 year old Neigbours house at 3 am then don’t complain when they call the cops and get you evicted aka You Democrat Neighbours all go to the voting polls and vote your president out of office.

@whowasthatmaskedman What cesspit?
