I live in Chicago where our mayor stated she will only allow black or brown reporters to interview her.

First, you shouldn't so casually and incorrectly use inflammatory terms. She may be showing preferential treatment, but she's done nothing racist.

That's no evidence her stated reason of providing opportunities to under-recognized journalists indicated a superior attitude toward any minority.
