Would people still keep working forty hour weeks if we socialize medical care , housing and the internet?
If it didn't cost your whole salary to live, What keeps you working? Do people live even if there's no job to keep them busy?

People probably could but there is literally no reason why anyone should. The 40 hour week was created in the 1800s and technology has evolved alot. The problem is the people who control the tech and the economy use it to undermine the majority to maximize the profits of a tiny minority.
