I see people complain that tax cuts only help the rich, forgetting that this means the middle/working class keeps more money and get products for less

They also seem to forget that the rich don't pay tax anyway, the middle class pay for most of it. Whenever you tax a corporation, they will just cover that by increasing the cost of their products. The middle and working class then have to pay for this more expensive product with an income even less and they will also be taxed more.
Rather than deciding who we need to steal money from, I think there should be some sort of financial education and independence courses in school. With things like how to leverage debt, how to grow you own food, and how to not pay taxes. Oh, but then if we can create our own wealth, we won't be dependent on socialism.

There are a few going points but mostly right wing myths here. Tax breaks don't help the middle class or the poor and if you look at the data it supports what I am saying. Also middle class tax cuts always have a sunset clause that doesn't apply to the rich. The idea that tax hikes result in price hikes has also been debunked on numerous occasions across numerous countries. It is a great excuse not to do it though.

And back to the ancap silliness of "taxation is theft". And the idea of not paying taxes is an ahistorical fantasy that has never existed and can't exist if you understand economics.

And finishing up with not understanding what socialism is. Yikes.🤦‍♂️

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow So I guess all my experience building up several companies from nothing, just means nothing. Of course. I know nothing of money despite using money to create more money to incredibly high levels of compound interest.
@lynncelestial By that logic having being in and out of hospitals my entire life I should have an MD. 🤣
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Not really, you didn't build a hospital nor carry out an surgery....
So no, that is not the logic at all. I worked with money successfully, so I know what I am talking about when it comes to money. If you were the one successfully performing the surgery, then yes you'd understand surgery.
Gosh, people can say the most stupid things and still feel they are in a place to put laughing places.
@lynncelestial Actually it is totally accurate. Just because you ran a business doesn't magically make you an economist. I had a teacher in high school who also ran a successful small business and she could not even manage to teach a high school level econ course and yet you think the same level of training makes you equivalent to Adam Smith. But your posts definitely expose your complete lack of understanding of even the basics.

Gosh, people can say the most stupid things and still feel they are in a place to put laughing places

The irony of that statement.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Yeah really really ironic. One of my companies is an investment firm which pools bonds and other assets from many different countries. And another company is a teaching company in which I directly teach people.

But whatever, when it's the internet, whatever you say, the other person will be assured that their lack of knowledge is better. :) So go nuts, you are right, I'm sure you generate lots of money, too.
@lynncelestial Again. That is not economics. That is basically teaching people how to gamble on the stock market. Not the same thing.

Lol. Wow. That is arrogant since you don't even understand the disciplines you claim to be an expert in.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow ONE of my forms of income is investments.

What you are saying is, I don't understand the disciplines of my own area? That I actually have no customers?
@lynncelestial Again, none of that is even remotely relevant.

Again. None of your expertise is economics. This like talking to a child.

This "It involves money so it is the same" is comically ignorant.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Interesting. So, what expertise do you say I have in building up a teaching company, electronics company and delivery company from now, aswell as managing a successful hedgefund?
@lynncelestial At best the background in Business management and Administration. Again, not economics. 🤦‍♂️
@lynncelestial Let me ask you a question. Would you want to live in a house designed by a carpenter or an engineer?
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Sorry, I don't wish to answer your question, I'm done. I honestly wanted a decent discussion but all I've got is attacked. I never get this in real life, I do dealings with many in person and we get on great. But as soon as people get behind their pc, they turn into something else. But sorry, if people think they know better, they are free to get on with it and don't require anyone else's money. Good day to you.
@lynncelestial Wow. Now we are going with a persecution complex to dodge the discussion entirely so you don't have to admit you are wrong.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No, it's because on the internet, you could have a PhD related to cancer and the person on the other end will still be informing you that you know nothing about cancer.

It does not matter what I say, you will still fault it. I'm being deadly serious. it's the internet, it's all people do on it. I could make the most objectively true statement, and there will be someone either popping up to disagree, or to try to play some semantic game about how nothing can be objectively true. You are just intent on being right, there is no attempt to reach an understanding, you just want to be right. I'm just wasting my time.

Similarly, you won't admit you are wrong, you have no intent on actually reaching any understanding with me, you want me to say I'm completely wrong and that you are so right. So, let's stop wasting each other's time.
@lynncelestial
No, it's because on the internet, you could have a PhD related to cancer and the person on the other end will still be informing you that you know nothing about cancer.

You don't have a PHD in economics and you are wrong so it is a statement of fact not "mean people on the internet."

And more persecution complex so you don't have to back anything up or admit you are wrong.

Furthermore you are projecting. You are objectively wrong on this issue. You claim to be an expert in a field you demonstrate no understanding of and by your own admission have no training in.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It's nothing to with a persecution complex, it's to with the fact of what I said. With how a lot of people act on the internet, you could have a PhD in whatever subject you are discussion and some basement dweller will be sending laughing emojis telling you how hopelessly stupid you are in your own field.

If you do not know the sort of people I'm referring to,then I'm wasting my time.
@lynncelestial Nope. Just a persecution complex and a false narrative to justify it.
@lynncelestial I find it hard to believe you would be successful in business if you run and hide when you get called on your bullshit.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I didn't realise success in the real world was in any way dependent on creating a false image on anon internet boards. I find it's usually the people who are losers in the real world who go onto anon boards making curse filled comments telling other people how clueless they actually are. Thankfully, my success in real life is not dependent on whatever you believe. And what you believe really has no relevance to that, as I know that whatever I say you'll just disagree with it, or deny it and there is nothing productive in trying to change your mind. So, seriously stop wasting your time, your input has no effect on my life, so go and bring someone else down if it makes you feel better about yourself. I'm not interested.
@lynncelestial Nice self reflection there.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It isn't wrong to have to pay taxes, but excessive taxation IS wrong.
@SpiritualMan That is a totally subjective position and moving the goalposts from the original position of the OP.
lynncelestial · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow You're the one going "you're bs!" "run and hide!" doubting my achievements. I've yet to do it to you. You have no interest in a genuine conversation, you just want to feel better than others. I've yet to call what you say "bs"
