The officer defending the House chamber was recently cleared of any wrongdoing. With all of the video evidence, you have to wonder just how ar the family thinks they’re going to get.

Really, someone should be legally responsible for the fact that the insurrectionists ever made it into the capitol building instead of being repelled with less-lethal weapons from a distance, but pinning it on that officer in particular is kind of ridiculous.

But no, the officers in charge, opened the doors and let them into the trap🤔@BlueVeins

@BlueVeins I suppose we could hold those who incited the riot on TV and Twitter responsible. And there would be some justice in that. But in the end every adult who entered that building as part of the mob is responsible for their own actions and the consequences.

@whowasthatmaskedman They shouldn't have been allowed to enter that building in the first place, so law enforcement on the scene bears part of the responsibility. I'm happy with prosecuting the former President for incitement, but you're not gonna get anywhere because while his actions were very wrong, they almost certainly wouldn't meet the legal definition before a judge. 🤷‍♂️ The standard for that is very high in the US.

@BlueVeins I have to agree that from this distance the security around congress looked inadequate. I wont comment on the reasoning of others behind that.

@whowasthatmaskedman I'm pretty sure there's footage of the officers letting insurrectionists into the Capitol building, and there were reports from inside the White House that the President wouldn't call in the National Guard when prompted to.

@BlueVeins I like how you repeat the mainstream media narrative, like a indoctrinated robot
