Should the GOP just change their name to the Honky Tonks?

Seems fitting these days. It's a shame - I used to agree with much of their platform. Now it all seems to be white nationalism.

Right after the Democrats change their name to the Know Nothing Party.

Silly post. Really. Silly.@dakotaviper
dakotaviper · 56-60, M
@FlowersNButterflies well it's true.
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
No. That is an issue with republicans, they can't tell reality from indoctrination.@dakotaviper
dakotaviper · 56-60, M
@FlowersNButterflies actually, you're wrong there. The Left believes everything the Entertainment Crowd, Sports Stars, and Media says. The Right views all Facts before they believe anything.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@dakotaviper You should google the "know nothing" party.
@dakotaviper We certainly knew who was elected president for 2020. That was more than much of the GOP could manage. 🤨

Nope. You have it backwards. @dakotaviper @dakotaviper

@trollslayer why should I. Because some leftist writer has probably already placed that saying towards everything from the Right. But I know, Leftists always believe the Internet. just like a friend of mine that has never been to my house called me the other day and said that he'd be within about 2 hours away from me, and I asked him where he was at, he told me, I then told him to stay on the phone and we talked as I drove literally 10 minutes to where he was at. Google Maps said that he was 2 hours away. He showed it to me. He was only 3 miles from my house. But continue believing Google, since you don't know any better.

@dakotaviper I am a registered Independent. And you folk have made life into a sport. Rough sport, too.

@dakotaviper The Know-Nothings were an anti-immigration party. They would be similar to the Trump Republicans of today.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@Fauxmyope2 Facts. The Trump party is the most similar iteration. Even Joe McCarthy did not command the majority of Republicans in the 50s.

Republicans have been going downhill for decades until they were so low tRump could take them over. @luckranger71
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@FlowersNButterflies Yes. Nixon kickstarted this slide and Reagan really accelerated it. It says something that Eisenhower was probably the second best President of the 20th century, and Republicans never venerate him. Because they know damn well that they'd call him a socialist today.
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
@FlowersNButterflies It is sad. The country needs a vibrant two party system that truly wants to govern and work for the 99% of us.
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
@luckranger71 Where are the Republican Eisenhowers? He was truly admirable. He should be the model for today’s GOP to emulate. He was a true patriot.

Can he be criticized? Yes! I admire his resolve to integrate the Little Rock schools and persevere during the Cold War though.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@Fauxmyope2 Eisenhower Republicans are gone. Their descendants are Democrats now. Maybe Gerald Ford and Nelson Rockefeller were the last of the breed. It's turned into a white nationalist party with no economic philosophy other than performance art - owning the libs!
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
@luckranger71 This is a tragedy. We need two parties with ideas to help and fight for the 99%. For ALL of the 99%!
