Universal Health Care is a right.

I don't know why you want to keep insisting on letting homeless children die of terminal diseases just to keep your stupid health insurance systems up and running. Canada has an awesome single payer system that helps its people out to a wonderful degree so all this "iT dOeSn'T wOrK" is pure BS. Social democracy is the way.

The Republicans are overriding votes that have already taken place, they are going against anything that will help the people. The Dems want to give the people stimulus money, healthcare insurance, jobs and the republicans are voting against the people. The Republicans are even voting against Clean Water. McConnell says he is 100% dedicated to stopping the Democrat agenda so he is 100% against helping the people.

@Pitchblue Who’s going to pay for all the free stuff that Biden wants to give away? It will be you in higher taxes and inflation.

@jackson55 I just love this money argument for not putting wrongs right. In a pandemic struck world just about every nation is pumping money into the economy and looking for projects to keep people working or the economy spending. The world is on life support and still America cant do a thing that the rich dont benefit from..
@jackson55 Who paid when Trump gave away a trillion to the rich or when he threw away multi billions for a few miles of wall, where did that money even go. That wall didn't cost 120 million a mile. What about the billions Trump gave to companies like Kodak, Fugi Film and ApiJect, to make vaccines or syringes to fight COVID. He got nothing for that money.

@Pitchblue Who's paying for all this? Let's just put it all on the federal credit card and let our grandkids pay for it, plus interest. (I could've sworn I got 1 or 2 stimulus checks under Trump. I must've been mistaken. The open checkbook has to stop somewhere.) Are we talking "clean water" or fanatical Democrat excess? I've seen how these environmental regulations work. Keep piling on more and more of them, beyond what's reasonable, and chase jobs out of the country. That's what Democrats and their media do - propose environmental regulatory excess and then anybody who opposes it is "against the environment!"

@whowasthatmaskedman Classic Democrat class division. "Those evil rich people!" Of course, Democrats are now the Party of The MegaRich. They feel better about themselves by voting for Big Big Government. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/democrats-party-wealthy-irs-salt-tax-trump
@graphite How can you be so blind. Trump makes laws so Corporations can pollute more, NOT LESS, so they can maximize profits. That has to stop at some point so that all drinking water isn't contaminated but the Republicans give mines the right to release toxic waste into the nearest waterway and then leave it up to the Democrats to STOP IT. Then the R say the D are affecting the economy or jobs. It's like setting the forest on fire and complaining when the Democrats put the fires out. OH GREAT! Now what are firefighters going to do.
@graphite HAhahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahhahahhahahhaaaaa Washington Examiner. You thought this was a legit News Source.

@Pitchblue Thanks to Democrats and their excessive environmental regulations, America has already ceded a lot of its manufacturing to China. Lost jobs for average Americans. No biggy for the rich Democrats - they'll still do fine. Democrats portray this nonsense about America being some megapolluted cesspool. Bunch of junk.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@graphite Fixing the environment is a hell of a lot harder than screwing it up. I find it pretty funny that conservatives refuse to be conservative when it comes to our shared natural bounty that we all require to be healthy and happy. And in the same breath talking about our grandchildren, mind you 🙄
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@graphite Being rich is not evil.. Although I do find some irony in one of the richest men, Bill Gates, being treated as the antichrist, when he gives away Billions. Evil is when you allow the rich to fleece the poor and strip the resources of the land, so that most people cant drink the water or breath the air and grown things in the soil in case there is lead or Mercury in it.

That is one seriously nonsensical mental vomit stream of consciousness.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I, for one, totally want to live with Chinese-style environmental regulations - seems super healthy.
@graphite @QuixoticSoul Look at Florida where they just released toxic waste, mixed with radioactive waste. Like the Ocean around Florida is not already toxic and spewing dead marine life up onto the beaches. BUT those stupid Cons still vote Republican while Desantis, Gaetz, etc let corporations dump whatever they want.
@graphite A free bit of education for you. The EPA and the concept of environment regulation in the US was created by a Republican. 🤦‍♂️
graphite · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Yes, I know. Nixon.
@graphite At the same time the Republican politicians are making laws to allow Corporation to pollute ground water they are buying whole aquifers of clean water to sell when there is no unpolluted water left. Look Up Who's Buying The Worlds Water.
@QuixoticSoul China has actually done probably more in the last 10 years for environmental progress then the US has in the last 25. Mostly because of necessity but the point still stands. Some friends of mine were in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics and went back a few years ago and they said the difference was pretty amazing. Like a difference in London circa 1890s to modern day clean cities in terms of smog.

@Pitchblue Lets not act as if the average Democrat congressman or Senator is any less at the beck and call of exactly the same lobbyists for funding come election time as the Republicans. This is a system wide problem. Not a left or right problem.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Parroted from Fox or OAN.
@Pitchblue Ummmm what? That makes no sense.

@Pitchblue I agree which is why I am confused it was directed at me. lol

@Pitchblue That was graphite. Perhaps he blocked you.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow China has done a big push to make their largest cities more livable and that’s to be commended, but overall they still play hard and loose and tend to think short term. I hope this changes.
@QuixoticSoul I was agreeing with your comment on that post.
