Its only when family members of the disabled abuse it. They can walk just fine and have zero physical disability. But they park there anyway because they got the tag.

No, they actually meant that disabled pekple having their own parking spaces is discrimination.

I never thought about it, but just did
the person you talked to, may have a point
for instance
rolling around on wheels using the wheelchair parking vs other people and elderly folks who really struggle to walk
but are trying to
it takes some of them ages to get into a store
one of our doctors' wife has muscular dystrophy
and she can barely walk..even she uses regular parking /her choice
only problem with throwing all parking open to all is
how do they unload their chair? /they need space to do so, if the chair don't unload from the rear of the car 😒 they need space to the side of the car

It actually is a form of discrimination, but it's one that I strongly support. I'm assuming the person who made that statement to you does not.

Discrimination is favoring someone over the other bc of one reason or the other. Disabled parking is not discrimination, it's ACCESSIBILITY.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@offingg: This policy/program is favoring someone over another, but as I said, I strongly support it in this case for the reason of accessibility. I think we're only disagreeing over semantics, not policy.

They're always saying they don't wanna b treated any differently

Exhibit A.

@offingg: what am I lying
ladycae · 100+, F
@Goralski: accessibility is not being treated differently, it actually allows the disabled the same rights to shop etc as anyone else.

Wow. As a joke?

I mentioned that the KKK supports discrimination and he told me that disablrd parking spaces also support discrimination. Totally serious, I can show you the screenshot.

Well, considering that now ethnic cleansing and such is being thrown as it was the coolest subject everywhere, this doesn't surprise me the least...

The world is vile.
