Yes and No - You tell me.
Washington (CNN)Rep. Maxine Waters on Saturday night called for protesters to "stay on the street" and "get more confrontational" if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is acquitted in the killing of George Floyd.
I hope this verdict gets overturned and- it might be a constitutional issue ( 6th Amendment) and the Supreme Court could take it up.
At the very least that dumb byproduct of Affirmative Action could have done this cop a favor. Wait and see come sentencing time. There is no way the judge will give him the whole 75 years.

@MarmeeMarch The idea that the jurors voted guilty because they were afraid of rioting is pure Fox News propaganda.

@LeopoldBloom And who told you that, CNN ? 😆😆😆😆😆

@MarmeeMarch People were hoping it would be a guilty verdict, but it wasn't assured, especially finding him guilty on all counts. I guess you came to your conclusion after personally interviewing every jury member.
It was obvious from the facts that Chauvin was guilty. Whether or not people would riot was irrelevant. According to you people, they would have rioted from joy if he was convicted, because n* love to riot.

@ididntknow I don't have cable, so I don't watch CNN. Where do you get your opinions spoon-fed to you - Infowars or Stormfront? Is there a QAnon channel?

@LeopoldBloom I can think myself, unlike most liberal lefties, that’s why, they are liberal lefties, just like you 🥸

@ididntknow You remind me of Orwell's observation, the louder people shout about how free they are, the louder I hear their chains clanking. You may believe you're an independent thinker, but based on your posts here, you could be replaced with Tucker Carlson and no one would notice. You've never had an original thought in your life.

@LeopoldBloom I’m in the uk dickhead, you brainwashed, indoctrinated, useful idiot

@LeopoldBloom I can tell you 99.9999999 % that riots would happen if not guilty - look at the rodney king thing and how that was responsible for a lot of havoc. You don't want to admit the obvious. That's OK - you have your views.
LeopoldBloom · M
@ididntknow Got it. You're one of those conservative bumpkins they have over there, who voted for Brexit because you think there are too many Poles in the country.

@MarmeeMarch The media had been saying that through the entire trial, genius. But if you think the jurors were influenced by that, you have a low opinion of your fellow Americans. Having both served on a jury and having also been a defendant in a jury trial, I can tell you that jury members take their role very seriously.
The Rodney King verdict was a travesty. It doesn't matter if he led the cops on a chase right before they beat him. Cops are not supposed to exact revenge on people who annoy them. They could have swarmed him and subdued him without beating him half to death. The testimony that LAPD officers were not trained in swarming was a lie, as I had witnessed several officers swarm a street preacher in Westwood Village several years earlier. One of those officers happened to be Mark Fuhrman before he was promoted to detective.

@LeopoldBloom Of course you seen the Rodney King video of the beating - but what you didn't see was prior to that How Rodney King kept getting up and refusing to stay down when ordered by the police.

@MarmeeMarch It doesn't matter if Rodney King was a guard at Auschwitz before he was arrested. The cops had no cause to beat him like that.
As for the Chauvin trial, fortunately we have investigative journalism. It turns out that the jurors weren't influenced at all about "fear of riots."

In an interview with TMZ, the attorney for George Floyd's family claimed that any attempt that former police officer Derek Chauvin makes to appeal his three convictions related to the death of the Black man -- whose neck he knelt on for over nine minutes -- are doomed to failure.
According to attorney Benjamin Crump, comments made by juror Brandon Mitchell made it clear that the jurors felt no outside pressure to convict the white police officer -- a line of defense Chauvin's attorney suggested might be used in an appeal.
Mitchell's comments "'completely obliterates' any argument the defense is planning to make about outside public opinions swaying the jury," Crump reportedly told TMZ.

@LeopoldBloom I am not defending the King cops I am just saying that they felt he was a danger to them I suppose. He was high on drugs and kept getting up and would not stay down. What would you do when some druggie is getting up after being told to stay down. The cops were justified in using force. However I feel that they used too much force - it was not balanced to the threat. Again poor training or racist cops ? Maybe both.
As for the jury I don't believe anything the jury says now because if they admitted that they were influenced by what Max the Mouth said they would be violating what the court usually tells a jury. Basically using only evidence brought in this courtroom. - No one is going to say - oh yes we were scared so we voted this way. Come on...

@MarmeeMarch It doesn't matter if they thought King was a "danger." They had him outnumbered and could have overpowered him without beating him. Although, having grown up in LA, I can assure you that the treatment King received was normal for the LAPD under Daryl Gates. That one just happened to be filmed.
No one said they were influenced by Maxine Waters, other than the Nazi fuckheads on conservative media who immediately jumped on her statement as an excuse to let Chauvin off. But since you're a mind reader, I guess we should go by your "feelings."
Regardless, Chauvin murdered a man in cold blood and is getting what he deserves.
