Explain me why some americans oppose the statehood of DC ?
there live more americans in DC then in states like colorado.

Their system is quite ridiculous with having two senators per state regardless of population. Wyoming has 600,000 people; California has 40 million.
Statehood for DC would add 2 senators in a strongly Democratic area, so that’s the real reason that non-Democrats would oppose it.
