@NoahB Not an excuse, an explanation. Ever made a mistake? Ever made a serious mistake despite everything being in place for success? Ever make a mistake so serious it irreparably affected another life?
If not, that's great. You should keep it that way. But also leave the issue to the grown-ups, then. No one can judge the world from the dark.

The normalization youre attempting for this level of incompetence is truly horrifying. You know what else adults do? The take responsibility for their actions even if it’s a mistake. They don’t worm their way out of it at every turn
@NoahB Politicizing it is trivializing it. Analyzing it without the benefit of [i]any[/i] knowledge is trivializing it. Targeting it in the narrow scope of binary thinking is trivializing it.
And if you could quiet the bees in your head for one second, you'd realize my statement impressed the gravity and importance of the situation, not the opposite. But if you need it simplified: stay out of things you don't understand.
@Graylight for all of your so-called 'knowledge' on this issue the only arguement you've been able to cobble together is that it was a mistake. your implication that the cops should not be culpable for mistakes is trivializing it. And I don't see how you let the cops off the hook for incompetence isn't itself 'politicizing' it. Being on the cops side is a political alignment in of itself
