We probably got another few months of this super pro biden media coverage

Ugh. It’s almost as bad as all the “give trump a chance” articles they had when he won

Biden is harm reduction, nothing more.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Okay. You're already being proven wrong with two historic bills, but let's say it just ends up being harm reduction. That can still save lives.

Reminder: We decide the caliber of representatives we send to speak for us, from the local tax collector to POTUS.

@Graylight harm reduction is good nobodies knocking that
@Graylight No I am not. You Biden enthusiasts are so determined to make a bog standard Clinton era neo liberal look like FDR. And FYI the entire point of harm reduction in every context is to save lives so that is a silly argument to make if not completely nonsensical.

Again literally nobody is arguing otherwise. So you are essentially having an argument with yourself here.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No, it is the argument. Biden will work to reduce the harm done by the previous administration. Harm reduction. Perfectly fine, given the last presidential term. Because what that looks like (and this is assuming Biden doesn't serve his full term and get re-elected), Biden will allow time for Harris to season in her role and position the Democrats to maintain the presidency and congress. Then we have 4 to 8 more years of change and decent principles.

The point of harm reduction is to save someone from themselves long enough to learn to take control of the full situation.
@Graylight And that is the problem. Thinking another dynasty of Clinton clones who want to "Make America the 90s again" is not going to solve anything. We don't have decades or centuries to do real change the hard way.

This is not about going back to Brunch.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't think anybody's looking for the Clinton days. Or the Obama days. Decent principles are not the domain of anyone administration.

Progress, change and forward-thinking are kind of our thing.
@Graylight Funny because the Biden administration is literally a geriatric version of the Clinton era approach.

It might be your kind of thing but it is the antithesis of neo liberals like Clinton and Biden and even Obama which is more about optics, slogans and platitudes.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Biden and your cult leader could've attended the same high school. And when you know fewer answers to the universe as you age, you'll learn to appreciate the high-powered focus and impact of practical wisdom from life experience.

Little matter. Biden is president. The Clinton administration (personal-public crucifixions aside) was extremely successful. Again, little matter. Biden will run his administration, Trump will fade kicking and bellowing into the obscurity of history and this country will continue to thrive despite the best attempts of its least deserving.
