Unpopular opinion: women shouldn't be in the military

Tucker Carlson and other conservatives are right.

Why should the US military be feminized and weak? Are we trying to lose future wars to china?

They really have no place in the military

The male and female standards to join are different, which is bullshit and kinda proves your point. If females can meet the male standards than by all means join. If they can't and need the bar lowered then they're lesser soldiers. Why in the fuck should that be permitted?
@Rolexeo exactly. Having them in the military only weakens it. Diversity but at a price. Liberals never think about this tho

@Stargazer89

You really think a man can push a button in a command center to launch a drone attack at the Taliban faster than a woman can?

Or push a button to fire a missile to sink a Russian cruiser in the Med?

Or push a button to launch an ICBM that nukes Moscow?

Really?
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero I think he's referring to the physical aspects, i.e combat
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

We're not fighting with spears and arrows anymore.

He needs to get out of the 8th Century.

And if sinking a Ruskie cruiser isn't combat, what the hell is?
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero What are you talking about? Are we not using guns? Do you not engage in combat as a soldier? Is physical dexterity a thing of the past? You act like we just drone strike eachother or something.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

People have different skill-sets that can be useful. Whether it be in sports, business or the military.

You don't put Kyle Hendricks at short and Javier Báez on the mound.

You don't put a paratrooper from the 101st Airborne on the Navy Seal team.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero Take that up with him, idk if that's the point he was making. The point I'm making is to not lower the bar in the name of diversity, it makes for weaker soldiers.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

How does having a woman in a missile silo in Montana with one of the keys to launch nukes make "for weaker soldiers"?

Or having a woman as the fire control officer on a boomer?
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero You keep focusing on that when you know damn well it isn't what we're talking about. Physical combat
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

And you keep focusing on physical combat when you know damned well that's not the only way wars are fought now or will be in the future.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero What part of my initial comment doesn't imply I'm talking exclusively about physical combat?

Your comment about the 8th century or whatever also makes it seem like you think soldiers just press buttons from a control room or something.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

You said:
If females can meet the male standards than by all means join. If they can't and need the bar lowered then they're lesser soldiers.
You think that every male in the military can meet the standard of piloting an F/A-18F Super Hornet off of the carrier Nimitz? Does the fact they can't restrict them from serving in other duties?

I'm saying the standard that needs to be met should be determined by the job that needs to be done.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero Great, for the last time, I'm referring to physical combat

When did I disagree?
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

So, to clarify, then do you support different physical standards regardless of sex depending on the duties one would be assigned?
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero I support one standard for both sexes in regards to whatever job
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

You should run for office. 😉

Your answer was like a typical politician's way of avoiding a direct question (referring to the job instead of the duties assigned).

@Rolexeo You refer to "Physical Combat" as if grunts are fighting hand to hand like they did 100 years ago, many of the women serving are as tough as any man and pulling the trigger on an M16 doesn't take a whole lot of physical strength dummy. Wars are changing and not all soldiers have to be musclemen to serve honourably.

@Rolexeo And how many years did you serve in the Military little boy?
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@spjennifer Are you disagreeing with me? Stop pretending you were in the military, you just want to prove a point, little boy
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@Rolexeo lol, I served longer than you've been alive kid and yes, I'm disagreeing with you, you are a moron and i'd love to see you hump a 100 lbs pack for 5 miles in the Afghanistan heat, you wouldn't make it 200 yards punk.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@spjennifer So you're disagreeing with me that you need to be able to run, lift, and lug around heavy equipment in the military? No, I'm sure you were in the military 🤡🤡🤡
