An antiquated argument. Unions have similarly become useless. The US now has departments suck as OSHA to protect workers. Unions now only serve to artificially drive up the cost of production and the price to the consumer.

@biandlargeny Except reality proves the exact opposite. Workers rights and benefits are over half a century behind the rest of the developed world, those departments you mentioned have been co-opted decades ago and unions have been an endangered species since the 70s and US worker's buying power has been in a constant nose dive since. In the 80s they tried to paper it over with mountains of credit.
Wishful thinking won't change that. Hell some states have even reintroduced indentured servants and debtors prison like it is the 1800s again and some libertarians are trying to re-litigate child labour laws.

Your statements have no basis in fact. Worker wages had been increasing. Worker rights have never been stronger. the rest of the world beyond the us borders are no where near the union protected employees.
