Don't forget the hurricane that hit Houston a couple of years ago and dropped 60 inches of rain in a few days. That exceeded the Probable Maximum Precipitation (i.e., the greatest accumulation of precipitation for a given duration meteorologically possible for an area) that engineers use for designing critical infrastructure. That climate change impact was so strong that even some die-hard Republicans in East Texas admitted that there "maybe was something to this climate change thing."
