So Texas is currently crippled due to a power failure from frozen natural gas lines

On the other side of this the state is reporting renewable power avenues (wind and solar) are performing above and/or at expected planned capacity contribution.

In this instance, green power is more reliable than fossil fuels. And thus could be the setting of a stage as climate change drives more and more of these extreme weather conditions rendering gaslines unreliable.

Of course im sure it will be ignored as texas doubles down on gas lines

The immediate future of power generation in this country is renewables + nuclear, but we are dragging our feet on the latter.

But no matter how you set things up, these extreme weather events will play havoc with infrastructure.
