Why do republicans think its ok to allow guns for terrorists and other demented people ?

@Baremine gun free zones don't work if you can legally buy a pistol across the street. That does not prove attacks and accidents won't go down if you can't get a gun anywhere. Have a look at other countries and you'll see that legal guns hurt more people than they protect against illegal ones. Of course making them illegal now there are so many out there already won't have the same effect as never introducing them in the first place, but still.
