Is Mitch Conducting An Experiment?

Mitch McConnell, earlier today, issued the following statement:
Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country. Somebody who's suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.'s airplane is not living in reality. This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party.
CNN had it as one of its top 3 stories.
Fox had it as one liner link, in small font, buried in a sub-story.

So, who could that person that Mitch is talking about be?

Here's a hint. A tweet from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene:
The real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully. This is why we are losing our country.
Is Mitch testing the waters, to see what kind of reaction he gets from the House, McCarthy in particular, or did he just fire the opening salvo in the GOP civil war?

Let's see if McCarthy removes Greene from her committee assignments, or we will have to wait for Nancy to force the issue.

Nice pick-up!
This is something to monitor for certain.

[@3118,Pfuzylogic] The dems warned if she's off her committee assignments this week, they're going to force a house vote to get her removed.
Pfuzylogic · M
Oh please let us get that vote!

As f*($#@g disgusting as he is, he's not an idiot. If the GoP doesn't remove her from everything, they Ds are going to make her the poster child for the GoP. Everyone will equate conservatives with batshit crazy conspiracy theorists.

She's also really vulnerable and could easily lose the election when she comes up for it. She's not a local in her district, she ran unopposed. that's why she's in.

Below is an article from an self-identified Appalachian.

[@335805,LvChris] I agree on the not giving her more attention than she deserves, but she should not be on any committees.

[@9416,Northwest] Agreed, as the author also states is their preference as well.
Wasn't she the one who backtracked her own statements bout some 19 yr old boy today? 🤔

[@372543,Vivaci] I have not seen that. Today she's been doing her thing, taking lunatic fringe media on tours of her workspace. It's hard to believe something like this can be elected, but then again, Trump was elected and even after he showed his ugliest persona, the bulk of the House GOP still voted to support his crazy theories.
[@9416,Northwest] It's shocking...and I wonder who recommended her. She's a blatant liar and instigates crowds with false stuff...

Greene said she thought Pelosi should be shot....are they going to have a special detail just to protect her from Greene?😶

[@9416,Northwest] So do I!Shes a complete head case

[@9416,Northwest] "Jews with Lasers in Space" nice and yet she is more in line with the T**** Party (formerly Republican) than most would believe, shes just the crazy hillbilly tip of the iceberg

Mitch McConnell is out for Mitch McConnell. My guess is someone finally told him voters are leaving the GOP by the thousands. That threatens his position, so now he's going to take a stand against unrest and bad government even though he's the devil's own imp.
