@SW-User I met her many years ago at a friend’s mother’s party up in the Oakland Hills. She was cool. The friend reminded me last week that she’d been one of the guests and that we’d spoken with her. Mind-blowing. 🤯

@bijouxbroussard Wow that's really cool! You must feel so lucky now having had met her in the past. When i read about her life and all the things she's achieved i was just blown away and the obstacles she must have faced along the way, i can't even imagine.

@MeowsoliniReturns Yes ! I was talking with a longtime friend whose mother used to be involved in Oakland social events. At that particular gala, we got to meet the mayor, too. I remember thinking how pretty she was—even more in person than on tv. But my friend recently reminded me that we’d been introduced (she shook my hand !)
