Did Donald Trump commit an act of Terrorism

It is pretty obvious he did, but all his blind cult followers, will not disavow what happened yesterday.

Pretty much. He incited them to breach the capitol in an attempt to overturn democracy instead of taking the L.

@SW-User He didn't tell them to do it. He's not responsible for what a bunch of idiots decide to do in his name. Let's at least try to be fair.

@BritishPerson Oh, he’s responsible alright. including Rudy Giuliani, and other GOP politicians who have been pushing for something like this to happen for the past few months.

@SW-User From what I know, Donald Trump has always discouraged such actions because he wanted to portray his party as the party of law and order. People are responsible for their own actions, not what others take it upon themselves to do.

@BritishPerson This time he let it happen because he lost an election and wanted to cause as much havoc in protest. As Trump put it before the day of the rally “January 6th is going to be wild”. The dude wouldn’t even diploy the National Guard to squash the riot, Mike Pence had to do that. And the only reason Trump decided to condemn the riot is because he was told by his advisors that he could face legal trouble for inciting them.

@SW-User I think Trump needed to condemn the storming of the Capitol immediately and make it clear that it is not acceptable. "January 6th is going to be wild" doesn't really sound like a call to arms to me. That could just mean that it will be a strong show of protest.

It also seems that each side is accusing the other of going against democracy, which I don't think is fair in either case. The Democrats (and some Republicans it seems) think the election was conducted fairly and the result is legitimate. They are appealing to democracy. Trump supporters think the election was stolen due to electoral fraud, so they have challenged the result. Whether that is correct or not they are also appealing to democracy.
