I'm not sure, but it was clearly reprehensible conduct that we should not have to tolerate from a public servant.
The thing is, neither Trump nor his supporters seem to acknowledge that he is a public servant, and he's still in office, and capable of even more heinous acts for the next few weeks.
Another later impeachment proceeding in a couple of weeks to disqualify him from running again might make sense, but it seems to make more sense to cage a rabid bear before poking him with a stick and encouraging him to attack again.
I dislike Trump more than most, but it seems the wiser course to be focusing on the threat he and his cult poses at the moment than rushing to do what's "right" when half the country doesnt seem to have a moral code and we're facing a pandemic and the consequences of four years of misrule.
