@Svarog: thats why millions of Americans can't afford healthcare now and we have to pay the consequences for not having it. And next year the tax on not having insurance doubles, within four yours it'll be up as high as the healthcare out there. So either pay $600 a month for healthcare or get the money you oviusly don't have taken out of taxes.. Sounds like a win win.. Doctors can't even see family members or friends to their family's anymore. Because of this health care. The Obama care is nothing other than a big mess..

@AnukBinary: I agree.
AnukBinaryM
@Svarog: Actually I don't have TV, nor do I watch any News channel for that matter. I get my info from the sources.. You see my father is a doctor and my family and I have been experiencing this first hand. Plus I'm sure he knows and understand the healthcare industry better than most who read or gets their info from any type of news source.

@AnukBinary: So you were one of the 75% of Americans who aren't covered through their employer? OK. Then I'll also assume you had junk insurance which means you weren't grandfathered in like most everyone else Or maybe you DIDN'T have insurance and were taking advantage of those of us who do. Having a hard time making the payment? Then you're probably a good candidate for subsidies. And don't worry about having a pre-existing condition or getting being dropped when you actually use your insurance. That can't happen anymore.
Well, at least I know you're a proponent of single payer which is the way it is with every other industrialized nation on earth. That's good to know.

@Ynotisay: I wasn't referring to myself. I do have insurance. I'm talking about those who can not afford insurance and rely on Medicaid and can't afford Obamacare. I have a friend who is a single working mother who is on Medicaid because she can't afford insurance and has a pre-existing conditions. And is still being denied the help she needs medically. And many non-profit co-op health insurances have failed and are failing do to not making any profit while burning through millions of dollars in taxpayer-funds, the losses won't be repaid. Obamacare was merely a subsidy for bigger insurance companies probably more to their share holders though...

@AnukBinary: Nothing personal but I don't believe you and I don't agree. If your friend can't afford insurance, and can prove it, then subsides are available to her. And it's now against the law to refuse coverage for a pre-existing condition.
And in regards to the co-ops, it's probably important to note that the GOP cut funding by two thirds a couple of years ago. They WANTED failure...just like every state that is eliminating insurance carrier options for citizens.

And the ACA was HARDLY a subsidy. Not sure if you remember but they were, and are, fighting against it. There's a reason for that.

@Ynotisay: I agree with you. And you seem to be very knowledgeable. Thank you for your input about my friend. Only if we knew the proper steps to take to get things roll for her.
Why do YOU think the GOP wanted failer? I would like to know your insight on it..
YnotisayM
@AnukBinary: Please have her go to healthcare.gov. There are also numbers listed where she can contact someone locally to discuss her situation.

And in regards to your second question we have the worst performing Congress in our nation's history, by far, for a very good reason. The GOP has been actively trying to derail most every piece of legislation since Obama took office. It's NEVER been like this before. Compromise means capitulation in their eyes. When Mitch McConnell said, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president," the writing was on the wall.

Please have your friend check out that site. She'll find herself in a much better situation than it seems she's in now
