@Majorsite You didn't grasp the vote did you? Republican senators were elected......but at the same time Biden got over 8 million more votes. That SHOULD tell you a good part of those 8 million votes were Republicans who voted for their congress people to win.........but couldn't stomach any more of Trump so they split their tickets and voted for Biden instead. How else does Republicans on a ballot gets voted for...but the the name at the top of the ticket don't. Liberals voted for Biden...but I got news for you.....crossover Republicans put the icing on Biden's cake.

@tring2222 I think Trump will TRY to pardon himself before he goes. He so far has given pardons out like candy..even to those who plead guilty already to their charges. He is now already handing out pardons preemptively to his family..staff...anyone and everyone who kissed his ass for 4 years. The Constitution founders put in no language to say a president can't pardon himself....because the founders could not imagine that citizens of the United States would ever elect anyone so corrupt as president that he would need to pardon himself. So on that technicality of "they didn't say I couldn't"---trump will be the first corrupt president to try that. trump knows that it won't fly in the long run because by the very nature of a pardon. A pardon admits the person getting one was guilty of felonies---or else a pardon would not be needed. In that vein no legal decision would uphold a president pardoning himself...because by defination of a pardon trump was obviously guilty of at least one felony. A personal pardon is literally a criminal who knows he is letting himself off of the hook for committing a crime..and if SCOTUS approved of that it would would equate to the SCOTUS deciding a president is above the law.
But a president who is so corrupt enough that he knows he needs to pardon himself also knows that is an issue that has end up in the SCOTUS to decide. That's trump life plan.....when he knows he is losing, he simply ties it up in court for so long the other side eventually gives up. The SCOTUS won't just "give up" of course but trump hopes to keep it in court on appeals that the issue of a personal pardon for himself issue will last for years...until maybe he's dead. And at 74 how much longer can that be?
Trump is hoping the judges he stuffed onto the SCOTUS will bail him out. Until then....just like he's doing right now by milking a stupid baseless claim of election fraud for donations that he knows he lost 2 months ago.....he'll pay out every dime of that free money if he has too to stall off a SCOTUS decision against him on a personal pardon. But make no mistake...before he leaves he will try to pardon himself. which says as loudly as it possibly can....."I am guilty of multiple felonies and I know it."

I also don't think annyone should give slack to Obama if he would do something like that or just pardon some random guy that is close to him, if you look at how this political power is being used in the past and how people talk about it, maybe it should be up for discussion as a whole. But Trump is literally pardoning the guys that lied and obstructed justice in an investigation into his own campaign. How far does "normal" go for you?

@Majorsite Obama may well have done. But not one of them were personally connected to him in some way. You would struggle to find that Trump has so far pardoned anyone who wasn’t.
The joke of it is, it’s these pardons that Trump is doing now that could be the final evidence of criminal wrongdoing on his part.
He has issued a series of pardons largely characterised by political self interest, and any of these pardons could be seen as bribes..,
