UK massive tax hikes on the way

In a few of the Sunday papers today.
UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak is warning of major tax hikes in the new year as Britain starts paying back the debt borrowed for the Coronavirus.

Also in many papers the Prime Minister Boris Johnson suggesting that a ‘no deal’ with the E:U seems the most likely outcome and people should prepare for that possibility.

Internal Tory party squabbles are already simmering as many Conservative MP’s represent business interests openly.
One or two starting to sew seeds of discontent warning that the Prime Minister will be on shaky ground if he tries to push his Brexit deal through Parliament and it not being up to scratch.

When the disaster that Brexit is kicks in then the covid will be blamed for that too. Both things are of immense harm to the economy and people..but Covid will mask the damage Brexit will cause..and is already causing.

@Entwistle That's why BJ is pushing ahead with Brexit so the impact won't be felt as much and covid will be blamed for everything...... a typical tory policy blame something or someone else

@milkymum1 Yep. Brexit has already cost the nation £700 million per week since the referendum result came in. It and covid will be cited as the causes for the biggest austerity measures ever implemented in the UK.
