Making vaccines available so quickly is amazing! I wish the Netherlands had such plans, but they haven't even invested in the necessary fridges yet and the queue for them is growing.

@NerdyPotato We still don't know enough about what the medium/long-term effects of taking it are.
Especially on those with pre-existing conditions.
And this stuff about one version requiring 'super freezing' before use.....🤷♂️

@Picklebobble2 What about the freezing? Of course the 5-10 years effects aren't known after a year, but would you want to stay in lockdown for that long to await more tests?

@NerdyPotato It just sounds to me more like
Anything so we can get people out working
rather than considering the potential for trouble down the road.
So yes ! If more lockdowns make people safer as a result until all the facts are known......yes !

@Picklebobble2 Lockdowns aren't perfect. Hundreds of thousands of people will still get it if the virus stays around for 5 years. A recent study showed that 70% of patients ends up with various organ damage, including healthy, young people with mild symptoms. No vaccine is going to cause that much trouble.
