It's funny how some people think politics is just about manipulating people.

"I have to convince everyone that disagrees with me that they side with violent and evil people." They don't understand that some people actually fact check and desire what's true. To them, it's just a war of "what I want vs. what you want" like a child in preschool. They have such low standards that they can't possibly understand the true scope of things. And then they take their ideas, shove it down people's throat, and either get violent, or justify violence with it.

They will suffer for their transgressions.

Propaganda campaigns are about manipulating people, but I agree, politics is more than just propaganda or shouting louder.
It's becoming harder and harder to tell if the person you're discussing politics with (especially online) is acting from a position of good faith, or if they're just trying to win an imaginary game for their team.
