Is America still moving in a radical right direction?

Given the narrowness of the victory and the 'centrism' of the Biden campaign, it seems the case to me.

A landslide Biden win would have seen a GOP war on whether to stick with right populism. As it is, the Republicans are disincentivized to move away from the Trump legacy. I think the next Republican nominee will be the person closest to Trump and might even be the man himself if he stays out of jail.

A lot of people seem to think that this election was the cure for the worst of the country's problems. Those problems are still there, and they'll be there for quite some time. We can't wait around for someone to save us. We have to take care of that ourselves. Some of the people who are often blamed for starting the fire, usually are just adding fuel to it. Removing those people won't stop the fire, but I will agree that's it's a step in the right direction.
