@Lostpoet only people with the mental maturity of an eight year old sit on an anon websites complaining about presidents or prime ministers. Whenever I see someone do it in the US or UK 100% of the time that person is fixating on politics to distract from their own personal shortcomings, saw someone complain that the political party she does not like is the cause of her obesity a while back. I did get quite into politics a while back to the detriment of my own self improvement but then saw sense and instead put my time into burning off a load of weight and building up my companies.

@Lostpoet I don’t ‘cross my fingers and hope’ I put work into my own life and get out of it what I invest. People treat politics and government like god, and it is pathetic. You’ll create the future you work to create for yourself. If you spend time hiding behind a pc complaining about people who will never know you exist, all you’ll be is a bitter nobody

@lynncelestial Good for you self motivation is honorable and im proud of your effort and accomplishments. I rarely discuss politics on here it's just I don't want people to forget and buy into Trumps theatrics he's not a politician he's a conman he grew up in that world he's a part of that sleezy world making a living off of the misfortunes of other people.

I'm a republican and I didn't vote this year because I won't vote for someone like Donald Trump.

@Lostpoet I dislike Trump and Biden. I dislike the conservatives and labor over here, too. They are all controlled by the same lobbyists.

As I write this post, someone on my Facebook always complaining about political figures and hashtagging social causes just posted about how she does not have the self discipline to learn an instrument. I’m not surprised with all the dopamine hunting from getting likes on her political posts she engages in

@Lostpoet yet like with most people you still manage to get in some Trump hating. I know you are probably an intelligent person, but I’m saying this as a non white immigrant - it is getting pathetic. It is like a fashion statement at this point. The time you spent making this post you could have put toward something of actual value

@lynncelestial You speak the truth social media is addicting and it takes a way time for personal growth but it is also a comfort for people who don't have anything else to fall back on.

@lynncelestial I didn't make this post. And I'm getting ready to workout in a second and then off to work. I too believe in personal growth but I also believe in voicing ones own opinions and I am not wrong about my views on Trump he has destroyed the party more than Nixon. I hope he doesn't continue in office.

I’ve noticed this trend in a few areas. And before I detail them I’ll point out that I am a Malaysian Chinese immigrant to the UK, culturally Buddhist and in a relationship with a white disabled agnostic, I also have a masters in psychology and 7 diplomas in music performance so good luck giving me a label.

You have what I describe with politics to make people feel better.

You also get the ‘hur hur look how stupid Christians are, they are so stupid that it absolves me of being a fat neck bearded sex pest’ ‘free thinkers’ who all have the same left leaning views to the point that they have created their own religion.

You get ‘musicians’ who are just singers because their voices are naturally in tune, and to avoid any effort going into self improvement or learning an instrument they call anything other than praise ‘haters’ and usually end up obsessing over their appearance and turn into a motivational page and have someone with a computer make some beats and call themselves a professional musician because they made 10p on Spotify.

You get the people who want to push for fat positivity or for acceptance of drug abuse. Because again they don’t want to make the effort to improve themselves. They even try to demonize the healthy and act in the hostile ways they pretend people act towards them.

And you have the people who want to pretend they are making a profound political impact but don’t put in the effort to learn anything. So just call any and all disagreement an ist or a phobe, or trolling or a conspiracy theory.

The common denominator is people wanting attention but not wanting to put in the work to deserve that attention. Society slowly gets dragged to a lower general standard in intelligence, manners (try discussing anything not cats nowadays) and the result of this is all of us being worse off, the state getting more control, corporations making more from us, all the while, the most stupid pressure the rest of us to go along with measures that damage us all, because the most ignorant are the most loud. And then we all fall to the lowest, most primal level of all - sex. Look at Instagram, look where the likes go regardless of content. I weep for humanity. We are destroying ourselves , and we have done so whilst pretending to be doing good when actually we all know the actions we make are all hedonistic.
