Lol...I don't think Trump's reply actually appealed to anyone. "You built the torture device, I'm just using it" just sounds like something someone with no empathy would say

This debate really made Trump look disorganised. He couldn't bluster because of the mute rule, he just sounded off topic constantly

IMO it makes sense. Biden has no room to talk in that situation. He is just as bad as Trump here.

I don't see it that way. Obama was President, not Biden. And Trump didn't show those cages were meant for children. Even if it was Biden and it was for children, Trump left it too open to interpretation to be effective

Biden has been involved in the US government for decades. Do you honestly think he will start making change NOW?

The issue is that the public isn't going to see it that way. Trump has spent four years proclaiming he is the sole decision maker in the White House, VP Pence is just there to carry out his agenda. Expecting voters to now think that VP Biden was calling the shots just doesn't strike home.

I know why the cages were built and Biden was has been involved in government long enough to have been outspoken about it, but has only done so recently.
