Americans are the only people in the world that seems to think others care for their political, racist and financial situation.
Unfortunately through dumb influence of campaigning over social media the UK started to pick up this trait much like discussing business endeavours its crass and boring...

And only divides people. Which is why people always say don't discuss religion or politics.
@Peppa The popularity of our magazines, newspapers and tv shows about those topics would indicate that people do care. And for all the posters from other countries who complain about us “talking politics”, twice as many participate in those conversations and have their own opinions about our politics.

@bijouxbroussard so why do more people especially this time around complain about how draining it is to keep hearing about all the politics...
Why have so many people been talking about feeling overwhelmed by how content being pushed out.
Its usually the people that have such strong views on voting that actually don't hear the others simply because it doesn't fit their agenda.
And as for people watching or gaining content especially outside the US it's mostly because a lot of people think American politics is a joke. Especially with the current POUS
@Peppa It is draining, in every sense of the term. Monday through Saturday my mailbox has been overflowing with literature about local propositions and candidates—and I voted last week. This is probably the most pivotal election that I can remember because the incumbent is such a joke—in the worst possible sense. And now we’re being told by our intelligence community that both Russia and Iran are trying to interfere with our election. So yes, there is international interest—we’re not just imagining that.

@Peppa I wouldn't mind as America is not my country. However, they still carry a hell of a lot of influence around the world so "when America shits the bed, we ALL have to lie in it" :(
@SW-User Crudely put...but alas, not wrong. 🙁

@bijouxbroussard I believe in speaking plainly when the truth needs to be said.

@SW-User America only has a large influence because other countries allow it. If England stopped funding them if they joined other nations they could squash America. America is most afraid of China, and Russia, arab countries (UAE). I'm not suggesting they do but the problem is england want to dominate nearly as much as America although they're trying to do it a little quieter...
Idiots.
The world shouldn't be focusing on "world domination" it should be focusing on alliance, if Instagram and Facebook shows us anything, our world and eyes have been opened. And as much wealth as there is there's as much poverty. We can no longer sustain a leading country...
But these egotistical leaders don't quite understand that.
And it was America that facked up the UK.
This is their leadership... Disgusting.
But the UK just won't learn.
All because these tooty snooties want to maintain their cushty lives at the expense of everyone else.
I've never know a world filled with such hate before now... We had wars but we saw unity now most are actually indifferent and that's very telling.

@Peppa stuff like the presidential election I believe to be rigged anyways, however, the local elections are important, and America's probably one of the VERY Few nations that has the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. Now thats slowly being stripped away.

@Peppa they shouldn't focus on world domination but that's their goal nonetheless. Unfortunately.

You do know the UK wrote the book on world domination through colonialism and their empire ? The U.S. only exists because of it. I’m sorry, but that’s funny coming from a Brit.
Peppa · 31-35, F
@bijouxbroussard I do know that. But it seems the UK are trying to fix things if only small. America has the man power to do better.
