@revenant That's the problem. It's like those people that have been posting about it since this morning, and no one adresses a policy or what anny of this actually means for the country. It's just a sports game with a winner and looser and bunch of fantatical supporters. It's human stupidity at work.

There won't be a best in this one. You have one side that will continously portray some charismatic strength and push lie after lie after lie after lie. And the other side will just have to deal with it, and if they don't their campaign gets a hit. I think it's the stupidest thing Biden could have done is to agree to have a debate with someone that doesn't care about the truth. You can't have a discussion with annyone if that person is not willing to accept that there is such a thing as an objective fact. And that last part, is a big problem in this retarded movement hooked on romantics.

@Kwek00 nah. They have to display their strengths, how quick they get back on their feet, the manner they answer. It is a preview also on how they may behave with other heads of state and shows how they deal with pressure.
Will they lose their nerves, their cool ?

@revenant Why is it never about content, but just how you posture yourself with you? This isn't the first time you express this. It's not a boxing game, it's about ideas and how they influence voters. If you make it about strength and charisma, you just don't care about competence, you just vote for the asshole that could dress up better.

@revenant Yes, there are other assholes in other countries that have their hair done well too. And stupidity in human beings that can't see through the facade is also pretty common.

@revenant Lets first kick the demagogues out, and understand that falling for demagoguery is part our emotional human side that shouldn't be used for making a rational evaluation on annything.

After that, we can decide who is the lesser the evil of the rest of them.

@revenant No they aren't, it's just a part of them. Part of growing up is learning to deal with that aspect of humanity. That when you are angry you don't just start punching people, when you get horny you just don't rape the first thing you see, when you long for something you don't just break into someones house to get it. Keeping all these things in check and learning to deal with it and making better descisions in life is part of becoming an adult.

There are places where you can indulge on those aspects of your humanity. You can do a sport, go to the whores, etc... you give it a place. But that place should never be in a political process that decides the future of an entire nation. If it elevates itself to that spot, a lot of crap happens. It's bad enough that people die at a sports game with 10.000 supporters attending, let alone that a country with millions start indulging in emotional insanity.
