I think the question should be, SHOULD the USA have a transition system that waits until January 20th for the Inauguration of a new President? The term "lame duck" president is totally inappropriate in the current context. Trump is more like a wounded rhino and there is definitely potential for a catastrophe. I hope that Biden takes a serious look at this mechanism and takes steps to mitigate a potential disaster in the future (if not too late).

@yogibooboo Sadly you did. Biden is a competent and experienced politician but he can't do it alone as too much damage has been caused. The absolute mess he's been elected to deal with is astronomical. Resolve, sincerity and determination but more importantly cooperation would, in my opinion, be a good start.
I hope ALL your politicians follow the oath they took and put country before party but I doubt they will; their own political gain seems to be foremost in some of their minds.
