In fairness should the NFL give equal time to the Latino, Pacific Islander, and white national anthems in their pursuit of unifying the country?

@ianR0ckwell I am not sure I have ever heard of the "black national anthem" they may play a song that they relate to as such though.

@looking4thesun Lift Every Voice and Sing is called the black national anthem.It actually is a beautiful song. They are playing it alongside. our national anthem. players are kneeling for our countries national anthem and standing for Lift Every Voice and Sing.

The NFL claims that this season is dedicated to National Unity.

@ianR0ckwell The national anthem has nothing whatsoever to do with sports. We treat athletes as gladiators and so the military - who gets paid - gets caught up in it. We are the exception in our nationalism. No other country flies flags from every upright pole. There's something to be said for quiet dignity.

@Graylight ok..40 police officers have been murdered this year...cities have been burned and the athletes claiming victim status make millions of dollars a year off the working class fans seeking distraction from their low paying difficult jobs.

At one time sports strenghtened the country and communities they were part of..Full disclosure..I like playing sports but do not waste my time or money watching other men play with their balls...
