It does beg the question of why the GOP is the party fighting to continue flying the Confederate battle flag and celebrate the statues and memorials of the Confederacy today, doesn’t it ?
The current head of the Ku Klux Klan, Thom Robb, is a Republican. He voted for Donald Trump, as did most other Klansmen and Neo-Nazis.

The GOP forever tarnished its history when it came out in support of the Confederacy in the 21st century. None of us are realistically objecting to putting these relics in museums—it’s not like the history will ever be forgotten. A Democratic President authored both the Civil Rights Act and the Voters’ Rights Act, which solidified the end of legal segregation and confirmed our voting rights.
And the current GOP has been doing everything it can to suppress our votes.
