I reckon living in Florida and being wealthy gives him the stage. What about others escaping tyrannical home situations?
I guess they arent from the right countries, maybe.

Exactly. It’s always about being the “right” immigrants (even illegally exceptions can be made), from the “right” countries. In the 90s even Muslims from the “right” countries (Kosovo, Bosnia, other Slavic nations) were welcomed into the U.S. with open arms.
