Why has 'socialism' become a dirty word ?

The only slighest difference between them are socialism use force or violent directly on their people and less rich people (mostly who works to the government, elitists) but capitalism everyone nearly can be rich (gotta work or born to be rich) and capitalist didn't use force. More about money, if there is money, there is way.

@iamelijah Wow. This is so divorced from reality it is almost funny. This is nice propaganda but not reality. The capitalist company is literally an absolute dictatorship. And anyone who says "do as I say or starve" is not coercive is delusional.
