@cherokeepatti Marxism is just one of several different variants of socialism. It is definitely not a synonym and the idea that it is is an exclusively American misunderstanding.

@cherokeepatti However you feel about it. There are so few marxists in the US the Marijuana Party is probably a bigger threat to the big two. The USA carried out one of the most effective political purges in modern history. That is simply a fact. Communists and socialists were effectively crushed in the US nearly a century ago.

So not that simply doesn't apply.
