Was Radiohead's 'Creep' not available?

Donald Trump is running out of songs for his rallies. The White House’s current occupant continues to be sued by artists who don’t want him using their music, including The Rolling Stones, which has apparently left him with no option but to replace “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” with “Y.M.C.A.” as his walk-off song — even though Village People asked him to stop playing that exact song.

So aside from his continued unauthorized use of music, maybe someone should read the lyrics of the songs to Trump, because he's gone from 'sorry you don't like me but I'm here to stay' right into a gay anthem. Way to keep your finger on the pulse of...anything.

Imagine being only allowed to play Kid Rock songs.

@CountScrofula I believe that's the third circle of hell.

@RedFlower Beck would probably let him use it for free.

Radiohead is a decent band. He should use Kid Rock or Ted Nugent. I wonder why he doesn't use their 'music'? Aren't they like his biggest supporters?

@Burnley123 Fascinating. I love learning about song inspiration and back story.

And you're correct about Trump - in his blithely he King Arthur.

Or Pinochet.

@Graylight The Bends and OK Computer were two of the best indie rock albums of the 90s. And that was the last decade that Britain produced any great rock music.

@Burnley123 About the same here. But what the UK did produce is part of the daily soundtrack for many Americans.

@Graylight Likewise with Americans to brits. We punched above our weight for a while mostly because rain and no X-Box forced people to learn instruments.

– Radiohead are decent people, and I doubt they will want one of their songs to abused during a rally of a man whose activities (or lack thereof) caused ten of thousands of deaths in America.

I was a Radiohead fan back in the day. I also know they are fairly left wing. They all come from upper middle class backgrounds but like most indie people they lean to the left.

Funnily enough they dont play Creep live anymore. They say its because its a cliche but really its because its too personal in a literal sense. Thom Yorke was obsessed with a beautiful girl at Uni and he really was the awkward loser in the song. There is a story that the woman in question went to talk to Yorke after a show and Yorke freaked out and fled.

The song would suit Donald Trump but the diffetence is that he feels no shame in being a creep.
