Serious Question? Prior to the 2016 election

The democrats were pushing for mental evaluations of older candidates running for president (Trump) To see if they were mentally fit for the job. I was curious as to their thoughts on these evaluations now that they have the fumbling, bumbling Joe Biden for a candidate?

If you mean H.R. 1987 it was blocked by the GOP. I think it's a good idea.

@Northwest was it blocked? Or is it just languishing within the Judiciary committee?

@JoeyFoxx If I recall correctly, it never advanced past the judiciary committee, which was controlled by the GOP, so it was blocked there. This was an attempt to establish a way to determine when the 25th amendment should be used.

Not that this would have a shot in hell to get ratified by the Senate

@JoeyFoxx This was more posturing than anything else. It will not pass the Senate. Something like this needs bipartisan support.
