Serious Question? Prior to the 2016 election

The democrats were pushing for mental evaluations of older candidates running for president (Trump) To see if they were mentally fit for the job. I was curious as to their thoughts on these evaluations now that they have the fumbling, bumbling Joe Biden for a candidate?

I think people will decide during the debates if Biden has the capacity to perform as POTUS or not.

@Roadsterrider

He'll probably have the questions fed to him beforehand, and have a teleprompter from which to read the answers from his basement. 🤫

@Thinkerbell I see two scenarios, voting at the polls, I see Trump winning by a greater margin that he did against Hillary, if the libs can finagle the mail in voting and force everyone to go that route, I see a lot of dead people voting democrat and a lot of immigrants voting democrat and they may pull it off for Biden.

@Thinkerbell They're all prepped for the debates...they all always have a teleprompter...and he's been on the campaign trail and not in a basement if you haven't yet noticed. 🤫

Yes, I noticed... Joe ventured out for an appearance with Kamala in an empty Delaware high school gymnasium. There was a "crowd" of about 75 outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of them.

And no, candidates do NOT use teleprompters during debates. Of course they are prepped on probable topics by their staffs beforehand, and memorize talking points, but they do not know the specific questions they will be asked (unless of course dishonest moderators from the media leak that information to them).

Does this clip look like Obama and Romney were using teleprompters?

@Thinkerbell Delaware overwhelmingly chose Biden for the nomination, so don't be obtuse.

Candidates do use teleprompters and have since Nixon's era. What you so blithely picture above is a panel discussion, not a speech

That has nothing to do with the fact that the empty Delaware high school gym was one of the very few places to which Joe has dared venture from out his basement hideaway to hit "the campaign trail," as you so disingenuously put it. 😂

We are talking about DEBATES, not speeches, and what I so "blithely pictured" was NOT a "panel discussion," it was the third Obama-Romney DEBATE, held on Oct 22, 2012, and obviously WITHOUT teleprompters, your weak attempts at dodging notwithstanding.

You can watch the entire debate at this link if you wish:

@Thinkerbell When you have something to add of substance anywhere in the same vicinity of legitimate discussion, let us know.

"Obviously without teleprompters." I could show you tape of people reading entire monologues from prompters and you'd never catch on. You have no idea what you're even talking about.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Graylight

Your transparent denials of the plain facts I have presented do not make them any the less facts.

I showed a DEBATE, not a "monologue" (another feeble dodge on your part) in which the participants are shown from all angles, and there are NO teleprompters. Furthermore, there is impromptu back-and-forth argument in this debate, so it would be impossible for a candidate to have his answers prepared on a teleprompter in this kind of format.

Let us know when you have anything beyond empty denials to offer on these points.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Thinkerbell Dear god, simpleton. Yes, some formats are sit-down q&a. If you think there's no prompter in that room, you're a fool. Believe me, it's what I used to do.

But no matter. Never in modern history has there been a debate or event where one person has a teleprompter and others didn't use one. If it looks like Trump doesn't need one, it's because he 1, can't read; 2, respects no other opinion and 3, can't calm his mouth long enough to use it properly.

But this is an old discussion, isn't it? It's Teleprompter v2.0. You were all so angry with Obama and so powerless to find fault with him you attacked his...use of a teleprompter. 😮

Don't talk politics unless you're going to talk politics. You're just picking fights in the sandbox and the rest of us have graduated kindergarten.

Uh-huh... I guess Gov. Perry's teleprompter must have malfunctioned on this occasion:
Believe me, it's what I used to do.
I can see why you are no longer in that line of work... 😂
You're just picking fights in the sandbox...
Your empty arguments, bereft of fact or sense, don't even rise to sandbox level... they are simply wrong, as I have shown at least three times now.
