@MarmeeMarch No.. Actually American made cars didnt go downhill at all (individual models maybe.) What actually happened was the Japanese cars improved dramatically in quality and features and outcompeted America right out of the market and exported thier manufacturing to taiwan, korea and other Asian nations. American cars simply failed to keep up. China was late on the scene, prefering to focus on heavy industry at first.
Do a bit of Googling around Total Quality Management and maybe Just in Time inventory. You will find it helpful😷

@MarmeeMarch I was in your place.. I gotta tell you . It really isnt that great. You should get out more. When other countries will let you in again maybe..😷 But I see your point. Americans are used to winning.. I think the problem emerged when somehow the idea that just being American entitled you to win. Thats never been how it works. You have to work to earn it. For a nation that represents 2% of the worlds economy, we bat well above our class. For the last 5 years your nation has had to print money and borrow just to tread water.
Now this is way off point and my post. So I am calling it closed. Dont waste my time.
