Why are people fleeing Blue states for Red states?

Typically southern states have a lower cost of living. I think it’s more financially motivated tbh.

@MorbidCynic You do have a point. However, red states tend to have a lower cost of living, and a lower standard of living. Services are minimized, and heaven forbid you lose your job and have to collect minimal unemployment. If you have kids, their education also tends to be of lower quality.

@MorbidCynic I don’t doubt it. But having lived in deep red states and blue states, lower costs seem enticing, people rarely make the connection with inferior services.
@windinhishair I only ever looked into New Orleans so I have no clue. They have lower living costs but people in my field make the same money as we do in NJ. So it sounded like a good deal 😅

@MorbidCynic The cities in red states tend to be more similar to blue states. You have to look at what fits your specific situation.
