Should the U.S. still be considered a democracy at this point?

It sure doesn't feel like one

@beaglehunter Simple answer—get rid of the Trump threat to democracy. You enablers can move to Russia or North Korea which has a government you may appreciate more.

@beaglehunter Hmm...what I heard was, "If you don't agree with this country's politics and are in search a a better way of life, please explore other nations." What a resounding endorsement for immigration.

@windinhishair i think trump is not what i would call great but at least i still have the right to keep my second amendment rights and protect my own life instead of living under some body that was sure he could have been elected to a third term if permitted by the constitution that so many have died protecting
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@beaglehunter Do you even have a clue how the second amendment would be removed? Please explain. You will just show your ignorance.

Trump cannot be elected to a third term, and won’t win a second term without cheating.

@beaglehunter Who's removing an amendment from the Constitution? When has that even happened? And no third term is permissible in the same document. But keep hoping. I'm sure all many of under authoritarian rule thought it'd be a good idea for their guy to stay around a little longer.

@windinhishair do you remember obuma saying if it was allowed he could have won a third term
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@beaglehunter He said he could beat Trump. And he could. But he can’t run for a third term. Neither can Trump. Case closed.

How is that explanation of removing the second amendment coming along? Should be interesting.

@windinhishair "They're comin' to take our guns! Defend 'Murica!"
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Graylight And their eyes glaze over when you tell them that Justice Scalia specifically detailed gun control efforts were constitutional in the Heller v. D. C. decision that our gun ownership laws are currently based on.
